"Model 83" armchair designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel and produced by S.W. Møbler, a Danish company active after the Second World War. Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel are among the most relevant designers on the Scandinavian scene of the 20th century. Active both in furniture design and in textiles and industrial design, they have contributed to defining an approach oriented towards comfort and the relationship between shape and body, with particular attention to seating. This model, dating back to the 1960s, features a wooden structure with inclined legs and an enveloping backrest that follows the shape of the seat, creating a continuous shape. Seat and backrest are padded and reupholstered in light-coloured bouclé fabric. Manufacturer's mark on the structure: S.W. Møbler – Vejen, Denmark.
