Ancient richly inlaid double-body Dutch showcase, dating back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Typical of Dutch cabinet making, this elegant, beautifully sized display cabinet is veneered in light mahogany with refined floral inlays in lighter wood essences with solid mahogany profiles.
The structure has the upper body with two shaped doors with squared glass and the notched sides with glass panels and the coffered base with two large drawers embellished with bronze handles and escutcheons, enriched with thick inlaid floral and vase motifs and ramages on the notched and rounded sides and ending on feet with the classic "lily and claw" shape.
richly carved and inlaid too.
In addition to the quality and beautiful proportions, this showcase stands out from similar ones for a continuous inlay with motifs of shoots, flowers and vases which covers the entire front and lateral surface of the furniture including the feet and the curved cymatium.
The two shelves of the display case have a jagged front edge and, like the third support surface, two grooves in the rear part to possibly be able to arrange the dishes vertically.
In excellent condition, given its age, it has the normal signs of wear over time, as can be seen from the numerous attached photos. The structure is healthy and the bronze handles as well as the escutcheons, the locks and the latch are all contemporary and present.
The glass is all intact with the exception of the lower corner of the top right glass of the right door, which is not bothersome but can be easily replaced if desired.
The wall width of the riser hull=140cm.
Depth of display shelves=24cm.
