The Robbiate painter Antonio Manzoni stood out for a pictorial production influenced by expressionism, painting a reality - both landscapes and figures - interpreted in an extremely synthetic way, with an almost brutal exercise in reduction. All reinforced by a personal technique which involves a highly material support on which the artist then redesigns the figures, creating an almost two-dimensional effect. Even color is used according to an emotional and spiritual interpretation, without any connection with reality. In this case the protagonist is a human figure, a guitar player, who emerges from the dark background through lines and convolutions of the brush drawn on the material base.
