Tempera on panel. The icon, typical of the Ethiopian and Coptic Orthodox cult, features in the center the figures of Mary with Baby Jesus in her arms, flanked by two angels with swords. Around, in nine separate panels, some figures of Saints (St. George at the bottom centre) and other angels; at the top center God the Father in three identical figures, i.e. the traditional representation of the Holy Trinity, and at the corners of the panel the four symbolic figures of the evangelists. The table has small drops of color.
