Item description

Gilt wood valance made in Italy towards the end of the 19th century. The structure has a molded frame, enriched by an elaborate central leaf carving in Rocaille style, typical of the period. The gilding retains a period patina which adds charm and authenticity to the piece. Ideal for enriching classic interiors or as a decorative element above doors and windows.
