The drawing, done on squared paper, offers a satirical version of the characters from the well-known fairy tale, which have the faces of some well-known figures of the time.
Edoardo Giordano was a painter and later also an important Neapolitan ceramist, who in his artistic career moved from realism to a more fantastical and, for a time, decidedly informal art.
