Luigi Mantovani, born and raised in Milan, established himself on the artistic scene and became an active participant in the city's cultural circles. He devoted his work to this city, which consisted primarily of landscapes and cityscapes, both of Milan and often of Venice.
His distinctive feature is the use of light, almost transparent colors, applied with broad, broken brushstrokes, to create an evanescent, almost dreamlike atmosphere.
The painting has been restored and relined.
Presented in a frame.
