A set of three decorative Italian travertine sculptures from the 1970s, designed by Enzo Mari for Fratelli Mannelli. The three elephants are offered in increasing sizes and share the same essential formal language, characterized by rounded bodies, minimal details, and a strongly sculptural silhouette.
Crafted from natural travertine, the figures feature the stone's typical porous surface and subtle color variations. The simplified design transforms the animal figure into a graphic and architectural object, fully consistent with the language of 1970s Italian modernism.
The set can be used as a group of decorative sculptures, a desk set, a paperweight, or, depending on the arrangement, as bookends.
The period label "Selezione Travertino Tivoli" is present, a feature consistent with the Italian craftsmanship of the period and the quality of the selected travertine.
