Glass bottle by Gio Ponti for Venini, 1940s
This suggestive Murano glass object is part of the "women-bottles" production or Morandi's bottles. The collaboration between the architect Ponti and Paolo Venini, the patron of the company who brought the art of Murano glass into modernity, began in 1928. After the works in glass and silver at the end of the 20s, in the mid-40s Giò Ponti began to play with colors, and created a series of works of which this artifact also represents the style. The object is in excellent vintage condition, has the Venini Murano mark and has not undergone restoration.
