Item description

Antique Italian painting of the seventeenth century. Work oil on canvas depicting religious subject St. Bonaventure in Franciscan habit of excellent pictorial hand. Contemporary wooden frame, carved, lacquered tortoiseshell and gilded fabulous decoration. Painting of great size and impact, ideal for inclusion in a living room or study, for antique dealers, interior designers and collectors of ancient religious art. St. Bonaventure of Bagnoregio very refined identifiable by the Cardinal's hat placed on the stool (see photo). Work that has undergone an intervention of conservative restoration, rintelo and resumption of color in some places (see photo). In beautiful patina, overall in good state of preservation. Light painting H 138,5 x L 103,5 cm.
