Napoleon III French chest of drawers, 19th century
Item description
A refined Napoleon III chest of drawers in precious woods from the second half of the 19th century. Moved both on the front and on the sides, it is a real masterpiece of high cabinet making. Entirely plated with various woods, it is embellished with gilded bronze ornaments, such as handles, vents, locks and shoes. The front is characterised by two large drawers inlaid with floral motifs while the apron characterises the lower part. On the top lies a very elegant marble slab in Spanish brocatelle profiled in "bec de corbin". Provenance: 19th century France. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional method of shellac and artisanal alcohol. General condition: Very good condition Document: Certificate of authenticity.
