Antique Italian painting from the 17th century. Oil painting on canvas, first canvas, depicting Transit of St. Joseph with Jesus, Madonna, angels and cherubs by a good pictorial hand. Antique frame, not contemporary, finely carved and gilded with beautiful decoration. Work with a dark background characterised by a pleasant use of light, the softness of the faces and the remarkable drapery of the clothing. Canvas with small holes and colour fading (see photo), signs of time. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration and colour recovery in some points (see photo). In beautiful patina, overall in a fairly good state of preservation. In need of restoration. Painted light H 125.5 x W 99 cm.
