PLATINUM Seller in Milano, Italy
'Ducrot' wardrobe supported by turned feet, with a split front, a door with mirror in the centre and two side doors painted with putti; the body is entirely decorated with gilded carvings. Vittorio Ducrot took over the management of his stepfather's furniture factory in 1902, renaming it 'Studio Ducrot', and succeeded in establishing himself more and more in the field of artisan and industrial production of Sicilian furniture. Specialising in the design and production of mass-produced furniture, he availed himself of the collaboration of some of the most important artistic personalities of the time. These certainly included Ernesto Basile, an architect who served as art director at the beginning of the 20th century, leading the company to international success. A product that due to age and wear requires restoration and polishing.
