Item description

Small painting on wood panel depicting a sunset on field. The artist, a Frenchman, painted from life on the lids of color boxes and was one of the forerunners of the late 19th century to the early 20th century. On the back there is the stamp of the paint company. Some of his paintings are signed- but he doesn’t reveal his name - and the place that generated the inspiration is also indicated on the back. In this case there is the author's signature on the front of the painting.
