4 shell-shaped fine ceramic ashtrays; they were modeled by hand, then baked in the oven for the first time, then the internal decoration was performed on the white majolica with a delicate shaded blue color; at this point the objects were subjected to a second firing, the external part was then decorated and, finally, the ashtrays were fired a third time to definitively fix the colors thus creating four small works of art. The ashtrays were made between 1936 and 1938 by the company Ceramiche Artistiche Rometti and bear the company's signature on the bottom. Ceramiche Rometti was founded in 1927 in Umbertide, in the province of Perugia, from the intuition of the skilled ceramist Settimio Rometti, who made use of the collaboration of his nephews Aspromonte Rometti and Dante Baldelli.
