Giò Ponti needs no introduction: he was probably the most influential personality in Italian design and architecture for almost three decades, from the 1950s to the 1970s. Among his most famous works, chair 646, designed for Cassina and rightly called "Leggera", stands out due to its modest weight. However, the Leggera remains sturdier and a little heavier than its more famous sibling, the 699 "Superleggera", which is so light it almost bothered to sit down.
The chairs are original, produced and delivered in the 1960s and preserved in their original blue leather upholstery.
