Item description

This fine view dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and was painted by a Venetian master. It depicts Piazza del Campidoglio animated by numerous figures and carriages in the foreground. In addition to the figures in the foreground is the famous staircase designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti that connects Piazza del Campidoglio with the square below. In the centre is the bronze equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius. This painting has a painting technique characterised by vivid colours, a beautiful composition with splendid architectural details, pleasant impact, excellent luminosity and good depth. Suitable for antiquarians and interior decorators, it can easily fit into different rooms in the home.
