Louis XVI bedside table in exotic precious woods, 18th century
Two-drawer bedside table with a frame panelled in exotic woods and inlaid with precious woods, surmounted by a top with the same motif. The front is marked by two prominent drawers arranged on two rails, both graphically emphasised by three rounds of threading with an amphora with flowers in the centre. On the sides, the same geometric pattern is repeated through the skilful combination of precious woods on the walnut-root mirroring. Typical truncated pyramid feet ennobled by fillets arranged at the corners and ending with bronze slippers.
