The scene, outdoors at the foot of a slope, shows two female figures slumped and behind them a pilgrim, with the traditional staff and shells on his cloak. The woman in the foreground holds a rosary beads in one hand, and on her lap lies a sleeping child. The scene suggests a moment of sorrowful, contemplative prayer. The painting, which has already been restored and restretched, has several color lacks and stains. It is presented in a stylish frame. Size without frame: 102 x 65 cm.
