Item description

Oil on panel. Signed at lower right. French painter Gaston Anglade specialized in views and glimpses of the Dordogne, the Pyrenees of Alsace. Recurring in his production are these views of the Creuse Valley, covered with pink heather, called the "Painters' Valley" because it was chosen by many Impressionist painters, and home to the Painters' School led by Claude Monet. The work is presented in a frame.
