Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 18th century. Oil-on-canvas work depicting a religious subject, specifically the Praying Madonna; good pictorial quality. This is a very common iconography from the 17th century in private devotional circles. Small-sized painting for antiquarians and collectors of antique sacred art. 20th century carved and gilded frame, of beautiful decoration. Painting characterized by good luminosity; Mary is depicted in an oval, penitent, with her hands gathered toward her chest. Work that has undergone conservative restoration with color recovery in some places (see photos). In good condition. Size without frame: 42.5 x 30 cm.
