Item description

This minimalist, functional and elegant wall cabinet is a true example of mid-century Scandinavian design. It is an entirely modular shelving and storage system called 'Ergo de lux', designed by John Texmon for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s. The bookcase consists of three cabinets with sliding doors, including a showcase with a fascinating diamond-shaped glass, and eleven cabinets with sliding doors. The bookcase features three cabinets with sliding doors, including a display case with a fascinating diamond pattern, and eleven shelves of different sizes and appearance. This arrangement provides ample storage and display space while remaining extremely elegant. Featuring smooth, clean lines, slightly curved edges and painted black, with the addition of modularity, ease of assembly and well-sculpted legs, the wall unit demonstrates Texmon's ability to create furniture that seamlessly combines aesthetics with functionality and ergonomics. The design of the bookcase allows each component to be adjusted to suit your needs. Shelves and cabinets can be moved lower, higher or interchanged; the arrangement presented is just one example. The set consists of: 2 cabinets: H: 42 / W: 78,5 / D: 36 cm; one display cabinet: H: 42 / W: 78,5 / D: 22 cm; 3 shelves with side and back panel: 21 cm deep; 7 shelves: 21 cm deep; one shelf: 30 cm deep; 4 teak rail supports; brass hangers. The wall unit has been checked by our team. It is in excellent condition vintage. All doors and assembly mechanisms work correctly and smoothly. The wood has been rejuvenated with Danish oil, the black paint has been touched up and refreshed. We leave small signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetics and only confirm the authenticity of the piece.
