Oil painting on panel by Mario Moretti Foggia (1882-1954) depicting mountain lodges. Signed at lower right. Mario Moretti Foggia lived and worked until his death in Macugnaga, the mountain place in the Ossola Valley that he depicted many times in his works, often proposing glimpses of mountain cabins in the valleys as in this one offered here. Trained at the school of Tallone, Moretti Foggia was mainly a landscape painter and proposed verist views characterized by a very bright and textural color palette. The work is presented in a vintage frame. Size without frame: 34 x 55 cm.
