Christ and John the Baptist are standing side by side, in the waters of the Jordan River: the Saint pours the baptismal water on the head of Jesus, while from above the Father and the Holy Spirit descend from the heavens to celebrate the dignity of the Son. In the background, two pious women assist, the same ones who will follow Jesus for all the years of his preaching, until his Passion. Applied on a wooden frame from the early 1900s, the painting is presented in a frame from the same period.
It has minor tears and needs cleaning and restoration.
