Large ancient painting from the first half of the 17th century.
Oil on canvas from the Genoese school attributable to the workshop of Bernardo Strozzi (1581-1644), lacking authentication. Known as the Capuchin or the Genoese Priest, he was one of the most important exponents of Italian Baroque painting. A painting of notable pictorial quality depicting the allegory of music, we see a young woman with instruments and a musical score. Also worth highlighting is the pleasantness of the drapery and the meticulous details of her dress. Spectacular 19th century frame in wood and plaster, beautifully decorated, with some gilding losses (see photo). Painting that has undergone restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some places (see photo). Overall, it is in a good state of conservation.
