It is powered exclusively by changes in ambient temperature.
The principle of Atmos lies in a hermetically sealed capsule with a gaseous mixture that expands when the temperature rises and contracts when it falls. It is the most ecological clock in the world as it would take 60 million Atmos clocks to consume the energy produced by a single light bulb A temperature fluctuation of just one degree is sufficient to guarantee an operating autonomy of approximately two days. It therefore stands out for its long service life which —theoretically— can reach up to 600 years.
