Item description
Splendid orientalist painting from the second half of the 19th century. French oil work on canvas depicting a desert landscape with figures, in a romantic style. In the background we see a pyramid and on the right a medieval castle perched on the mountain. At the center of the composition is a path with characters on horseback or camel. Contemporary frame in carved and gilded wood, beautifully decorated, with some signs of aging. Work with small drops of color (see photo), overall in good state of conservation. Light painting 34.4 x W 45.5 cm.
