Item description

Fabulous neoclassical oval from 1792 with wonderful period colouring. Subject by Angelica KAUFFMANN with cupid. Engraving in the dotted manner printed with sepia ink and with very fine coloring contemporary with the watercolor. Engraver: Thomas Cheesman, engraver born in 1760, died around 1834/1835 in London.
