Item description
Closet with one mirror door and two drawers in polychrome wood. The structure recalls the pediment of a classical temple. The decorative motifs of the inlays rendered in an elegant calligraphic style represent figures of warriors volute vegetable and naturalistic motifs. The antique closets differ according to the historical period of origin. Material lines, shapes and decorations are the peculiarities of each closet, from the glamour of the Smith ones to the Imperial refinement of the Louis XV and XVI style. Ours refers to the historical period that goes from 1820 Smith Napoletano. Some scholars advanced the hypothesis that the furniture "Smith" Napoletani were inspired by the drawings of George Smith, a cabinetmaker who worked in London between 1804 and 1828. Certificate of Authenticity.
