Pair of Italian art déco armchairs in walnut and geometric fabric, 1930s
A refined pair of Italian Art Déco armchairs of the 1930s, which show off the elegance and essential design typical of the period. The structure is made of high quality walnuts, with armored armrests in a characteristic open triangular shape. These sculptural armrests extend from the back to the ground, acting as a rear legs, while the front is supported by two small rounded feet, creating a surprising sense of balance and visual lightness.
Recently restored with meticulous care, these armchairs have been covered and padded using the original springs of the 1930s, preserving their historical integrity. The new coating has a refined fabric with white and black rhombuses, which emphasizes the timeless charm and the graphic clarity of the aesthetic Art Déco.
The walnut armrests were finished by hand with the traditional shelver swab polishing technique, restoring their original shine and enhancing the natural veins of the wood.
