Produced in Italy around 1971 by electronic process, this table lamp represents a perfect meeting between rationalist geometries and avant -garde technology. A spherical opal glass diffuser (Ø 36 cm) is framed by a shiny chromed ring and supported by two slender mounts in plated steel, inserted in a glossy black metal base. The diffuser is adjustable, allowing to modulate the light beam.
The real flagship is the "touch" dimmer integrated into the front chromed band: just touch it to instantly adjust the intensity of the light bulb, from soft light to full power. The model retains the original label "iTer" on the glass and appears in the Light volume, Lamps 1968–1973: New Italian Design of Ferrari & Ferrari (Fig. 69). A collector's piece that merges practicality of use and futuristic elegance of the 1970s.
