12 lights in brass Azucena Mid-Century Modern of Hunting Domination, 1950s
An illustrious example of Italian lighting Mid-Century Modern, this 12 lights in massive brass chandelier is attributable to Luigi Caccia Domination for Azucena, about 1955. Hand melted by master craftsmen in Italy, the central drum is decorated with delicate grooves and detailed beads, from which extend twelve arms elegantly arched in an harmonious radial composition. Each arm ends in a conical housing enhanced by a chopped bobeche, combining functional clarity with the sculptural elegance.
The original honey-gold patina, softened for decades of delicate oxidation, beautifully accentuates volumetric curves and gives an undeniable authentic vintage character. This post -war design icon measures 100 cm in diameter and 95 cm in height, frame with large inputs, formal dining rooms or galleries. Not restored and in excellent operating conditions, it preserves the factory finish, demonstrating its historic Italian origin and its lasting charm for luxury vintage lighting collectors.
