Bucolic landscape painting figures, pastoral scene, 17th century
Roman school of the second half of the seventeenth century. Oil picture on canvas depicting a wonderful pastoral scene with figures and animals at the source. At the center of the painting we find a young lavender next to the ruins, an ancient fountain with which cows and sheep are drinking. On the right a man stands up a splendid donkey while a dog accompanies him. The type of composition, the naturalistic but idealized yield and the treatment of light refer to the Italian landscape of the late seventeenth century. Scenographic setting of the 19th century in carved and golden wood, with some signs of time. Work already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and color recovery in small points, overall in good conservative state. Painting that is part of a pendant (see photos and request the price of the couple if still available). Painted light H 57.5 x L 76 cm.
