Country landscape with fig, oil on canvas, 17th century
Ancient Italian picture of the second half of the seventeenth century. Oil work on canvas depicting a wonderful bucolic landscape with village, popular figures and past animals. With a balanced use of perspective plans we find in the foreground a family of farmers and a loaded mule led by a wayfarer through the bridge. On the right we see a large tree that thanks to the typical Repousoir mechanism guides our gaze towards a splendid village. The warm and twilight colors dominate the composition in a game of light and dark mastery. Framework of remarkable pictorial quality that recalls the great tradition of Italian and Flemish classical landscape of the seventeenth century. Cake of the 20th century in carved and golden wood, with some signs of the time. Work already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some places. Overall in good conservative state. Painted light H 72.5 x L 98.5 cm.
