Item description

Louis XV style cabinet/transition in bois de rose and exotic woods, Napoleon III This refined cabinet, datable at the time of Napoleon III (second half of the nineteenth century), skilled the elegant lines and decorative techniques typical of the Louis XV style and transition. Construction materials and techniques: Main essence: mainly made of fine bois de rose and rosewood wood, woods characterized by a marked vein and a warm color, which give the furniture a luxurious aesthetic. Inlays: the furniture is embellished with an unofit visible on all surfaces. The spine backgrounds (or "a chevron") are made with great precision, alternating clear and dark shades of the bois de roses and rosewood, to create a dynamic and three -dimensional effect. Piano: the upper floor has a geometric inlaid centered by a "star" or rose of the twenty four -pointed, made with contrasting woods (Ebano for the dark tips and Bois de Rose for the bottom). The edge of the top is shaped in the move, adding a touch of grace. Profiles and threads: detailed contrasting threads, in maple, outline the edges of the drawers, the side panels and the plane. Interior: the interior of the upper drawer is in solid oak wood, which guarantees robustness. Below it a small overturning door. Configuration and functionality: Drawers: The cabinet is equipped with a front drawer, finely inlaid with fish, which offers a practical containing space. Elegant golden bronze pomoli in the shape of a chiseled rosette. Lower limelight: under the drawer there is a small limelight or book desk that opens down, revealing an internal compartment. Structure and style: Legs: The furniture rests on four sinuous and tapered legs, in the "saber" or "cabriole" style typical of Louis XV, which give lightness and elegance to the structure. Inferiore: the lower band is elegantly shaped with a "Grembialino" motif typical of Rococo, which harmoniously connects the legs. Dimensions :: height 77 cm, width 38 cm, depth 32 cm. Conditions: The furniture is in good general condition, restored and polished with shellac Regular certificate of authenticity with photos is issued.
