“Maria Flap” table by Bruno Mathsson for Mathsson International, design from 1936, in masur-birch and beech.
“Maria Flap” table designed by Bruno Mathsson in 1936 and produced by Mathsson International in Sweden, with original label present.
Exemplary made with a masur-birch veneered top and solid beech structure, characterized by a refined balance between functional ingenuity and formal lightness.
The table is completely foldable, with closed dimensions of 23 × 72 × 90 cm (W × H × D) and, once opened, reaches 283 × 72 × 90 cm thanks to four movable boards of 66 cm each.
The folding system, typical of Mathsson's construction mastery, allows the table to be adapted to different spatial needs while maintaining a sober line consistent with the Swedish modernism of the period.
Good condition. It may show some signs of aging. Please pay attention to the photographs.
