Item description

Italian painting from the late 19th, early 20th century. Oil on canvas work, first canvas, depicting an impressionist female portrait of excellent pictorial quality. Nicely sized and pleasantly decorated picture adorned with a modern carved and gilded wooden frame. Painting of great character and personality, the painter is good at painting the features of the young woman with her head slightly bowed. Work that has undergone some small conservative restoration work with three small patches on the back (see photo). The canvas bears no signature or dating, now under study. In beautiful patina, color well preserved over time by protective glass (now missing). Overall painting in good condition. Painting light H 58 x W 43 cm.
