Display cabinet, 19th century
Eighteenth-century sideboard from Umbria composed of two superimposed bodies. The upper part has two doors with antique glass and a hand-forged solid iron closure. The interior, painted in light blue tempera, contains four removable shelves. The lower body is equipped with a double solid door with original hinges, a central shelf and two upper drawers. The shell handles were added in the 19th century. The structure is intact and stable, with a maintained historical patina. Frames, stops and moldings reflect eighteenth-century Umbrian production, with interlocking assemblies and period nailing. Slender proportions and contained depth.
