Refined Cascade model chandelier in opalescent Murano glass, designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in 1970. The structure is composed of a succession of elongated blown glass elements, arranged in an overlapping manner to create an elegant and dynamic cascading cylindrical silhouette.
The particular opalescent finish gives the glass an extraordinary luminous quality, with reflections that range from milky white, pale blue and light mother-of-pearl shades. Even when turned off the chandelier maintains a very strong sculptural presence; when switched on, it instead diffuses a warm, soft and suggestive light, capable of enhancing the volume and depth of the composition.
This model represents very well the aesthetic research of Italian design of the Seventies, in which formal experimentation, artisanal quality and attention to material come together in an object of great charm. Ideal in a dining room, in a living room, in an entrance or in a refined environment, where it can become the protagonist of the space.
