Pair of French armchairs from the first half of the 19th century. Furniture of exceptional quality and elegance, with a rare shape and neo-Gothic decorations, from the Charles Resting on four solid legs, the front ones stand out with the cabinetmaker's refined work in creating neo-Gothic motifs and geometric inlays.
The rear legs are instead saber-shaped. The construction of the armrests is also fabulous where we find two small twisted columns supporting a sculpture that recalls the design of a shell (see photo). Armchairs inlaid with precise geometric decorations and delightful floral motifs, very pleasant.
Upholstered in blue fabric with small signs of wear, padding offers good comfort with a seat height of 48 cm. Hard to find furniture, part of a set consisting of two pairs of armchairs sold separately (see photo and request the bulk price, if available). Armchairs that show some signs of aging and small chips (see photo). One armchair has a small tear in the fabric on the back (see photo). Structurally sound, overall in good state of conservation. To be restored.
