Item description

Oil on antique canvas. This painting depicts Saint Aloisio Gonzaga, patron saint of youth, recognizable by the cassock and cross he holds in his hand. Tuscan (Sienese) school. The artist's name is inscribed on the back: "Bartolomeo Gessi, school of G. Manetti". He was certainly a pupil of G. Manetti.
