Construction and Decorative Details
Structure and Front: The front is divided into three drawers: a narrower upper underfloor decorated with a band of vegetal scrolls and continuous geometric motifs, and two larger lower drawers, visually joined by a majestic central oval reserve.
The Inlays: In the centre of the front: Inlaid oval medallion depicting a classical allegorical figure reclining, executed with fine woods and finely shaded.
Upstairs: Large central oval reserve enclosing a rich trophy of period weapons (quiver, arrows, drum and laurel branches), surrounded by a beautiful herringbone arrangement of wood (herringbone/quadripartite plating).
On the sides and sides: The sides reflect the refined ornamentation of the front, showing a large central circular rose window enclosed within geometric frames and foliage motifs in the corners. Corners enriched with bell inlays and geometric motifs typical of the period.
Supports: The piece of furniture is slender with four elegant truncated pyramid feet (the classic neoclassical pin feet), also entirely threaded and inlaid along the edges.
