This rare sideboard was made in Cantù by La Permanente Mobili Cantù, Palazzi dell'Arte, around the 1940s. Designer: Paolo Buffa.
Various woods and original black opaline glass top.
It has neither a logo nor a label, but other similar examples online bear the Palazzi dell'Arte di Cantù label.
The provenance and attribution are certain, as I have original period photographs depicting furniture similar to the piece for sale. The design is undoubtedly by Paolo Buffa. Copies of these photographs will be provided to the buyer only after purchase, and not before. Other attributions to Borsani found online are incorrect and lack documentary evidence.
