Item description

Large Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil painting on canvas depicting religious subject Madonna with child of good pictorial hand. Painting of a particular elongated oval shape, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of antique sacred art. Painting depicting the Madonna resting on a cloud with the baby Jesus in her arms, a scene of great sweetness. Painting that has undergone a major conservative restoration, re-tinting, replacement of the frame and resumption of colour in several places (see photo). Ideal painting to be placed in a living room or study, with a strong impact. In good condition with several signs of restoration.
