Item description
Pair of antique oil on canvas paintings depicting noblemen signed Guglielmo Beltrami, 1832. The paintings in question depict a gentleman from the first half of the 19th century, as we can guess from the style of the clothes he is wearing (a black coat, a white shirt with a high collar wrapped in a bow tie of the same colour). He is depicted in a three-quarter view with his gaze fixed on the observer. The woman, on the other hand, is portrayed with an almost frontal gaze and is dressed in luxurious clothes with large jewels. Note the extraordinary ease of composition and agility of touch, its colours contrasting with the dull tones used as a background. Measurements: 66X76cm Provenance: Lombardy 19th century.
