Pair of 1970s vases Design Angelo Spagnolo for Sicart, Cartigliano. Italy, 1970s. Singular pair of glazed ceramic vases, with a particular shape that allows them to "fit together". They differ in colour and height while maintaining identical proportions. The small vase is dark brown, while the taller one is milk white. Angelo Spagnolo is the designer by definition, always attentive not only to aesthetics but also to the usability of the object. During his years of teaching at the State Institute of Art, he never stopped collaborating with the most attentive and innovative companies in the area, including Sicart of Cartigliano. In this way, the direct thread between school and factory allowed his talent as a teacher and designer to grow and assert itself.
Angelo Spagnolo's style is recognisable in his graphics and colour, which very often refer to natural clays or the colours of our land.
