Rare pair of Louis Philippe mirror cabinets from the mid-19th century in gilded and carved wood. The particular shape with 'Rocaille' friezes with floral motifs in Louis XV style is further embellished by the presence of six small shelves for supporting furnishings. The 24kt gold leaf gilding is resting on a layer of bole substance used as a base on which to lay the gold leaf. The mercury mirror is original of the period. Provenance 19th century Italy.
