Neapolitan Louis Philippe wood console with marble top, 19th century
Louis Philippe console made in Naples in the 19th century. Fine exotic wood structure and gray Bardiglio marble top. The top is supported by a mixtilinear band with a large cymatium in the center. Four large "cabriole" feet characterize the front and appear to be finely carved with leaf motif elements. The base is mixtilinear and follows the same course as the upper band with a cymatium in the center too. Four pad-shaped feet have the dual function of supporting and slender upward the console. Complete with certificate of authenticity.
