Item description

The painting depicts a still life of fruit with bunches of grapes of varying quality and colour, a split pomegranate with its red berries in evidence, peaches and other fruits arranged on a secondary plane. The fruits, harmoniously composed and illuminated by a light source that highlights their details, are framed by branches of vine leaves against a dark background and rendered with naturalistic effects that dictate the high quality of the composition. Further enriching the scene is the presence of a parrot depicted at the moment of eating a grape. Good condition. Measurements: 123 x 80 cm. Rome, late 19th century. Certificate of Authenticity.
