Cherry wood, rosewood and fabric wardrobe attributed to Josef Frank, 1930s
SILVER Seller in , Hungary
Cherry wood and rosewood wardrobe with fabric covering attributed to Josef Frank and made in Austria in the early 1930s. It is probably one of Frank's first projects but this could not be confirmed. The characteristics of this wardrobe are similar to those of its furniture: solid cherry wood and veneer, rosewood veneer, birch veneer inside and original fabric covering with floral pattern; even the keyhole plate and the ball hinges on the doors refer to his style. In any case it is an exceptional unique piece. Solid and heavy but graceful piece of furniture with its curved shapes. Professionally restored.
